Potential applicants should consult with the Foundation's program staff prior to submitting an application. After this consultation, qualified applicants may apply for active living funding by completing the following grant application:

Applicants should submit one signed copy and one electronic copy (either as an email attachment or on a computer disk) of the completed grant application to Mary Black Foundation, 349 East Main Street, Suite 100, Spartanburg, SC 29302. If you prefer to email the electronic copy, contact Amy Page.

Deadlines:
The Foundation currently accepts grants four times a year. The application deadlines are

• June 1
• September 1
• December 1
• March 1

If an application deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, the application is due by 5 p.m. the next business day.

Process:
The typical application review process will take at least 90 days. The Foundation's program staff will notify applicants of funding decisions.

Evaluation:
The Foundation requires grant recipients to submit written interim and final evaluation and budget reports.
