Partners for a Purpose is an intensive, interactive workshop for nonprofit board members and executive directors/CEOs facilitated by Allison Black of Blackfish.
Effective leaders know that the success of any nonprofit is determined by the health and productivity of the partnership between the executive and the board members serving the mission. Yet this relationship continues to be a struggle for many in the nonprofit sector. CEOs work hard to find qualified leaders that will appropriately engage in and support the organization. Board members are equally challenged to find the time and fit for their passion; they want to be more than just a fundraiser for their favorite cause.
In this one-day retreat you will learn strategies: strategies for advancing mission, strategies for board development, strategies for building leadership on both the board and among the staff. You will discover the pitfalls of “nonprofit lingo” and how to avoid it to create authentic communication between board and staff.
By the end of the day – you will leave with an action plan to take your organization to the next level.
This training costs $10/person and lunch is included. The training will take place on Tuesday, October 24 from 8:30am-5pm in the Dining Hall at First Baptist Spartanburg.
Who Should Attend?
Ticket purchases are limited to 3 tickets per organization. We strongly encourage attendees be the Executive Director, on the development team, be a board chair, and/or member of governance committee.
